My first car purchase alone as a woman walking into a car dealership and I have to say the process went very well from day 1 to driving off with my Subaru Legacy. I saw this car online, I called, I made an appointment with Chino my Sales Representative, he was very helpful, he explained and showed me all the details of the vehicle, which made me feel more confident. In the process met Amanda the Finance Manager, she was also very helpful and patient with me. We got the deal done within a couple of days, I’m driving a great car with confidence and happiness. When they say “welcome to the family”, I really felt it was a whole family making me feel cared for! Best wishes to Chino and Amanda and everyone else at Subaru Montreal!

I'm putting four stars because the fifth star is reserved in case the other shoe drops because it's still early, right? Gotta stay a little wary, right? Let me preface this by saying I'm always skeptical of reviews that mention a salesperson by name because I was once offered a discount at a furniture store if I left a review with the salesperson's name, even though that goes against Google's policies (I promptly reported them for it too ;)). That said, I can see now why Nils is mentioned so many times. After having been to several Toyota dealers (because we've had Toyotas forever so naturally, you have to get another Toyota, right?), and being treated like absolute trash, I went to Subaru. Well, first I chatted online with Subaru, and you can imagine how abrasive and cynical I was having been through the ringer several times with Toyota (oh man, the stories I could tell). But somehow, the online Subie guy was able to keep his cool enough with me to arrange for me to meet with Nils the next day. I walked in, Nils asked what I was looking for and I was blunt. I said I don't want any bull****. I said I'm a povvo and I want the most car for the least amount of money that he could possibly give me. And you know what? The guy actually came through for me. And here we are, nearly five months out, and I'm still finding out little hints of how he went above and beyond for me in this car purchase. Like, I bought the demo, because I really wanted the cheapest possible most amount of car and that was the cheapest possible most amount of car, and I asked if he could change the oil and whatnot before I picked it up. He said it wasn't due for another 5000 or so km, so don't worry about it. And then I go to put my winters on (free) and they're like, "Do you want to change your oil while you're here?" and I'm like, "I guess? When's it due?" and they look it up and guess what? It was changed right before I picked it up in the summer. And he never said anything. He never bragged about all these little things he secretly did to the car before he handed it over. I was terrified (and still kinda am) of buyer's remorse buying a Subie instead of a Toyota, but my goodness did Nils make sure it was as smooth a transaction and experience as possible. And now that it's Subie season (January), the buyer's remorse is even further from my mind. Imagine if I hadn't branched out? I'd have been stuck with the dented 2015 Toyota Avalon with broken seatbelts and a check engine light on that Toyota was trying to convince me was worth almost as much as a new car. That would have been a nightmare. So now I have a blue 2024 Subaru Forester Sport with a moonroof and vents in the back for my kids and crazy safety features and all sorts of nice stuff that I never thought I could afford. Thanks, Nils!
